My name is Maggie and I am a lover of languages. It all started with my Belgian-born dad, trying hard to raise me as English/French bilingual (an experiment which failed when I hit kindergarten). Over my 30+ years, I have made attempts of various success to learn French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Finnish, and most recently Mandarin. I have a great love for grammar and cheesy pop music in any and every language.
I started this blog because I noticed more and more people using the online community to share tips and advice on language learning, as well as to share their own successes and failures. I want to use this space to share some of what has and hasn't worked for me, as well as to laugh at the big and little mistakes I've made along the way.
